Getting around
Muscat tourist places start with Mutrah and the corniche. A normal rental car is the way to move between them and the hotels. The first days do not need a 4x4.
A day toward Wadi Shab is a paved drive south-east, then a walk after you park. Jebel Akhdar and Jebel Shams are mountain days. Take a 4x4 for those roads.
